Every community prices its own menu, and some fold the garage into the rent on specific floor plans, so an average would mislead you. The monthly garage rate and the actual clearance belong in writing — we get both before you tour, dated, from each community that fits your budget.

Because garages are the scarce line on the parking menu — at most communities a minority of spaces, first to lease, slowest to come back. Where a waitlist exists we ask how long it truly runs and how it is ordered, and we tell you what the leasing office told us rather than smoothing it over.

It depends on the door and your numbers, so we treat it as a measurement question rather than a hope. Give us the height and length once; we ask each community for its figures and the written rules on oversized or equipped vehicles, and we only shortlist places where the answer came back yes.

Only where the community’s written rules allow it, and outlet charging is slow enough that it suits short commutes best. Some communities offer dedicated chargers or shared stations instead — we sort which case each one is, with costs in writing, before you count on plugging in at home.

Both have written answers at every community, and the tour rarely volunteers them. Motorcycles are usually fine in a rented garage and restricted elsewhere; boats and trailers are restricted almost everywhere, with a handful of exceptions worth knowing about.
